At Royal Lactalis Leerdammer we make cheese: Leerdammer and more!
We do this with more than 440 colleagues, spread across three locations in the Netherlands. Behind Royal Lactalis Leerdammer stands the largest dairy company in the world: Lactalis, with more than 90,000 employees and nearly 300 production locations in 52 countries.
At Royal Lactalis Leerdammer, we love being good at something, but we find it even more fun to look at how it can become increasingly efficient, safer, higher quality, or more sustainable. For our customers and consumers, but also for ourselves. If you work at Royal Lactalis Leerdammer, you are also certain that you can and may develop yourself. You do this by showing what you can do and by making your wishes known.
As a maintenance technician, you are the first point of contact during breakdowns. You are also involved in maintenance or changeover activities and work closely with your fellow operators for the planning and execution of primary maintenance. You discuss this with the shift leader. You work in the Packing department in Wageningen in a 4-shift rotation. On this department, our Leerdammer cheeses are inspected, sliced into slices or wedges, packaged according to customer wishes, and prepared for transport. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything is operational again quickly.
On maintenance days, you work on your own line and resolve preventive actions.
You support the shift to which you are assigned and support your fellow maintenance technicians where possible.
In collaboration with various AM (autonomous management) teams, your expertise ensures successful progress of the work processes.
You carry out small projects and actions and handle the administration of your own jobs in SAP PM with a clear description and time accounting.
You perform inspection rounds and supervise external technicians.
You also work together with the Support Engineer and Maintenance Reliability Engineer in the execution of actions, assess and resolve reports, create (follow-up) jobs in SAP PM, and manage the workshop.
You report to the Maintenance Manager Packing.
It is of great importance to us that you work in a positive and safe working atmosphere, to which you also contribute. We have chosen a 4-shift rotation instead of a 3-shift rotation because of the extra flexibility in work schedules, longer periods of time off, and an improved work-life balance, which is better for your health.
The schedule is based on a 4-week cycle and repeats thereafter.
This means, for example:
Week 1: 2x morning shift (from 06:00 to 14:00) and 2x afternoon shift (from 14:00 to 22:00)
Week 2: 3x night shift (from 22:00 to 06:00) and 2x morning shift (from 06:00 to 14:00)
Week 3: 2x afternoon shift (from 14:00 to 22:00) and 3x night shift (from 22:00 to 06:00)
4 days off
Week 4: 2x morning shift (from 06:00 to 14:00) and 2x afternoon shift (from 14:00 to 22:00)
