• A gross monthly salary between €4,374 and €6,642 + 8% holiday allowance;

As an E&A Proposal Engineer Defence, you play a key role in the pre-contractual phase. You assess customer requirements, develop integral electrical and automation concepts, and ensure that Sales has the correct technical substantiation. You combine in-depth E&A knowledge with conceptual thinking, system integration, and strong communication skills.

This is a role for someone who is technically strong, but also enjoys conveying the story behind a solution clearly and convincingly.

• You are the primary point of contact for all Electrical & Automation topics during the tender phase;
• You translate operational customer requirements into concrete E&A concepts:
  • electrical power distribution (HV/LV),
  • propulsion and drive systems,
  • automation platforms (PLC/SCADA),
  • integration of sensors, radars, navigation, and communication systems,
  • cybersecurity and safety solutions.
• You assess customer requirements for technical feasibility, regulations, and technical risks;
• You develop functional diagrams, system architectures, and interface overviews for E&A installations;
• You work closely with cost estimators to substantiate your design with calculations for, among others:
  • energy and load balances,
  • cable and power calculations,
  • redundancy and availability analyses.
• You maintain close contact with suppliers for E&A installations, determining scope of supply and technical specifications in consultation;
• You build a convincing technical narrative for Sales and stakeholders in which you know how to explain complex E&A systems clearly;
• You actively contribute to the development of new E&A concepts within the Defence portfolio, for example in the fields of hybrid propulsion, energy management systems, automation standards, and digital platform architecture.
