Prevention Assistant / Dental Assistant with Growth Ambition in Prevention

Are you a prevention assistant and do you actually enjoy assisting at the chair? Or are you a dental assistant and want to grow into prevention? At Verwijspraktijk De Mondhoek, you combine the best of two worlds, in a team that values your craftsmanship and where you are given space to grow.

In this combined role, you alternate between prevention and assisting. For example, prevention in the morning and assisting in the afternoon. This keeps your work varied and ensures you have energy left for every patient. You:

• independently perform preventive treatments, such as providing oral care education, brushing instructions, and the removal of tartar and plaque;

• assist the dentist or specialist during treatments and prepare the treatment room;

• record treatments and findings in the digital patient file;

• think along about providing good, clear explanations to patients.

• Ideally, you have at least two years of experience as a prevention assistant.

• You are capable of working independently in prevention and actually enjoy the variety of assisting.

• You have experience as a dental assistant and want to develop yourself in prevention.

• We offer space to further train you in prevention and perio-prevention.

We are a practice for general dentistry and also a referral practice for implantology, endodontology, orthodontics, and aesthetic dentistry. Quality is our priority, but we like to keep things friendly, clear, and human: no difficult language, but clear explanations; no rushed work, but attention to every patient's story. De Mondhoek features 7 treatment rooms and an OR room, fully digital and equipped with the latest materials. Our team consists of 32 colleagues, including general dentists, implantologists, endodontologists, orthodontists, dental hygienists, prevention assistants, and friendly reception staff. Together, we form a close-knit and skilled team in which quality, collegiality, and enjoyment go hand in hand. Our practice is affiliated with Oral Care Nederland, a national network of dental practices that combines local identity with more than 35 years of international dental expertise.

• A varied position in which you combine prevention and assisting.

• Fixed working hours: Monday and Tuesday from 13:45 to 21:15, and Friday from 07:45 to 15:15 (eventually until 16:45). From June, Wednesday will be added, from 07:45 to 16:45.

• a completed dental assistant diploma (at least MBO 3 working and thinking level);

• a Hepatitis B titer determination;

• an anesthesia certificate, or you are willing to follow the training;

• an excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written. Providing good information to patients is central to our work;
