Trouw Nutrition, part of Nutreco, is looking for a driven Animal Caretaker/Biotechnician 13f for our cattle research facility in Sint Anthonis. Here, you will work together with an enthusiastic team on innovations that influence the health and nutrition of cattle worldwide.

In our team of approximately 12 animal caretakers/biotechnicians, you will play a crucial role in both the daily care of our animals and the execution of important cattle research. You will work with calves, dairy cattle, and beef cattle and help collect data that has a direct influence on the improvement of animal nutrition and welfare. Everything you do contributes to the development of better feed solutions for the livestock industry - so you truly make a difference!

Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the research runs flawlessly and that the animals are healthy and happy. Your work contributes to solutions that transform the cattle sector worldwide.

• Care and feeding of calves, dairy, and beef cattle, including milking cows.

• Monitoring the welfare of the animals and responding to their needs in a timely manner.

• Performing measurements and biotechnological procedures that contribute to the research.

• Proactively thinking along and taking responsibility when conducting trials, so that the results are valuable and reliable.

• Collecting and registering important data and samples for research purposes.

• Performing various daily tasks on the farm to ensure the welfare of the animals.

• A full-time position of 40 hours per week (part-time negotiable).

• Location: Sint Anthonis.

• A diploma at minimum MBO level 3.

• Willingness to obtain the 13F Laboratory Animal Caretaker certificate.

• Experience with farm animals and/or biotechnological procedures is a plus.

• You live within a commutable distance of Sint Anthonis.

• You are willing to work 1 out of every 3 weekends.
