The role
The challenge: ensuring the optimal functioning of our 440 Lidl stores, distribution centers, and head office, every single day. No ad hoc decisions, but strategic foresight and thinking up smart plans at the drawing board. From the very first blueprint to daily maintenance: we arrange it. Will you take on the challenge? Come work at Facility Management and keep our locations running.
What you'll do
In the role of junior consultant facility management project interior design, you are co-responsible for devising and determining the nationwide uniform policy and strategy in the field of facility management, specializing in: project interior design. Together with your colleagues, you work on the complete lifecycle of our buildings. By working closely together and managing external partners, you ensure that the vision lands well on the work floor.
You ensure a consistent and sustainable interior design concept within our entire organization (stores, DCs, and head office). You translate international quality standards and formulate the complete plan of approach for renovation projects. With your out-of-the-box vision, you provide the frameworks within which the operational project managers realize the concept on location. Your duties:
Translating international policy: You analyze the guidelines from our international head office and translate these (both requested and unrequested) into workable policy for operational colleagues, while safeguarding nationwide uniformity.
Developing and rolling out the store interior design manual: You draft the central Store Interior Design Manual in which you record exactly what and how things must be built. In this, you also include concrete frameworks regarding ordering materials and lead times, so that operational project managers can get to work immediately.
Project management: You lead or support various nationwide projects at a strategic level that contribute to the further optimization and professionalization of our facility organization.
Process optimization (Renovations & Costs): You continuously investigate how we can execute internal renovations faster while maintaining quality. You also optimize the financial process together with the Finance department regarding projects – from pre-calculation and cost estimation to post-calculation.
Optimizing the handover process: You design a streamlined handover process. You provide the frameworks through which all assets are securely and correctly transferred to our operational colleagues in Facility and Sales.
Stakeholder management & Operational translation: You act as a central hub between different departments such as Operations, Procurement, and Real Estate. With your connecting ability, you bring interests together and ensure that everyone is on the same page.
Supplier management: You maintain close contact with the nationwide partners who make our interior designs operational and continuously manage the improvement of our cooperation and processes.
You derive satisfaction from continuously improving service delivery and feel responsible for what we as a Facility Management department stand for. You would like to further develop in a position where you receive a lot of freedom and responsibility to give substance to the role. You work in an organized, structured manner and are able to work (together) project-based. In doing so, you also dare to take control if necessary. You are a persevering person and you can immerse yourself in a project to fully master it. Furthermore:
What do you get from us?
An independent and responsible role within an enthusiastic team, where you can help build an even more professional department. We provide a varied induction program in which we truly let you get to know our organization, processes, culture, and people. Furthermore, you can count on:
