Health & Safety Lead

• HBO level of work and thinking.
• At least 6 years of relevant work experience within Health & Safety, safety, or working conditions.
• A completed degree in Higher Safety Science (HVK).
• Demonstrable knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, safety management, and compliance issues.
• Experience with RI&E processes, audits, and certifications.
• Experience with stakeholder management within a complex organization.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate risks into concrete improvement actions.
• Experience coaching and guiding professionals is a strong plus.

• A salary between € 4,820.80 and € 6,884.80 per 4 weeks, aligned with the education, knowledge, and experience you bring;
• An annual bonus of up to 7.5% of your annual salary based on organizational objectives.

As Health & Safety Lead, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring the Health & Safety policy within Jumbo's logistics and online operations. This operation consists of 2 highly mechanized plants in Nieuwegein and multiple logistics locations across the country, including 20 Hubs with delivery van traffic for Online groceries.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• You develop and ensure policy regarding safety, health, well-being, hygiene, and the environment within our logistics and online operations.
• You ensure that locations comply with laws and regulations and coordinate audits, inspections, and certifications.
• You analyze risks, incidents, and trends and translate these into structural improvements.
• You are the substantive sparring partner for management and advise on risks, priorities, and safety policy.
• You strengthen the safety culture within Jumbo through awareness, training, and initiatives surrounding safe working.
• You functionally manage the local Health & Safety employees and support them in their development.
• You monitor performance, report to management and the board, and contribute to organization-wide projects and improvement initiatives.
