Facilities Assistant

When you close the day, you don't know what the next day will look like. Every morning is a surprise where, as a facilities worker, you start by tackling current matters. That could be a supplier you need to talk to, or writing the latest news on the notice board. You are given the opportunity and freedom to shape your own day. Who wouldn't want that?

You will do this in one of our distribution centers. As a facilities worker, you focus on all facility tasks within Jumbo and, in doing so, support the core activity of an organization, namely supplying a large number of stores.

Our ambition is to grow, and that often means things need to be organized slightly differently. And that administrative work is quite something! You will be busy with daily activities such as helping with internal events, placing orders for items including office supplies or clothing, setting up various rooms, creating access passes for new employees, and handling and coordinating requests from colleagues. You will also have daily contact with suppliers, maintain control over quality, and ensure the guidance of external parties in the building.

In doing so, you always take into account the specific wishes of the internal customer regarding execution, quality, costs, and safety. Together, you ensure a good result every single day. More specifically, you will be busy with:

• Organizing, planning, coordinating, and solving all practical facility matters.
• Collaborating with the facilities supervisor, your colleagues from the warehouse, cleaning, and catering.
• Supporting and executing small projects, such as the rollout of a new locker policy or ensuring the arrival of room numbers for every room in the building.
