What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, enjoys solving problems, and gets energy from helping others. You don't need to be an expert in heat pumps yet. We are happy to teach you how our systems work.

What we find important:

  • You have completed a technical HBO (higher professional education) degree, for example in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.

  • You have technical and analytical insight and enjoy finding out how systems work.

  • You communicate clearly and pleasantly, also with people who have less technical knowledge.

  • You speak and write Dutch well.

  • You are independent, eager to learn, and take initiative when you see that something can be done better.

  • You enjoy working with both technology and people.

  • You are available at least 4 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience with technical support, troubleshooting, or customer contact.

  • Knowledge of heat pumps, installation technology, or other technical systems.

  • Experience with Python, data analysis, or automating processes.

The role

At DeWarmte, we make smart and affordable heat pumps that help homes move away from gas. We design our products ourselves, assemble them in Utrecht, and work together with our installation partners to ensure they reach more and more people's homes.

More and more homes are being heated with our heat pumps. And that means we also have to monitor more and more installations, support customers, and solve technical problems.

That is why we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our support team.

What you'll do

You help customers and installers with technical questions, investigate malfunctions, and ensure that our heat pumps continue to function optimally. At the same time, you look beyond today's problem. Why does a malfunction occur? How can we prevent it in the future? And how can we organize our support more intelligently?

So you don't just solve problems, but you also help us to make our products and service better and better.

What will you do?

As a Technical Support Engineer, you are an important point of contact for technical questions regarding our heat pumps. You combine technical insight with customer contact and work closely with our service, product, and engineering teams.

You help customers and installers with technical problems

  • You analyze malfunctions and investigate what is happening, for example by examining system data and settings.

  • You support customers via telephone and email with technical questions and problems.

  • You help installers and service technicians in solving technical problems.

  • You adjust heat pump settings where necessary to optimize their performance.

  • You call in service technicians when a problem cannot be resolved remotely and ensure a good handover.

You help make our support smarter and better

  • You recognize recurring problems and think along about structural solutions.

  • You create and improve technical documentation, manuals, and work instructions.

  • You share practical insights with our product and engineering teams, so that we can further improve our heat pumps.

  • You think along about how we can improve and automate our processes and systems.

You will join a growing team in which not everything is yet fixed. That means you can learn a lot, receive responsibility, and have influence yourself on how we work.

What do we offer you?

  • A salary of €3,000 to €4,000 gross per month based on full-time employment, depending on your experience.

  • 27 vacation days.

  • A pension scheme and travel allowance.

  • The possibility to share in the success of DeWarmte via our Stock Appreciation Rights (SAR).

  • Plenty of room to learn, develop yourself, and take responsibility.

  • An informal working environment with short lines and colleagues who enjoy working together.

  • The possibility to work partly from home, alongside our joint office days.

  • And of course the chance to contribute to the energy transition with products that we develop and improve ourselves.

Want to help build?

At DeWarmte, we love people who take initiative, are curious, and want to make things better together. You don't have to be able to do everything already. If you love learning, taking responsibility, and get energy from technology and helping people, we would love to meet you.
