What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, or a comparable Life Sciences field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnological environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant QC techniques such as chromatography, gamma spectrometry, microbiological testing, and wet chemical analyses.
  • Strong in problem-solving, with experience in deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and OOS investigations.
  • Experience with process improvement, data analysis, data integrity, and Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of the English and Dutch languages (minimum B2).

Job Description SummaryAs Team Lead Quality Control, you will lead an operational QC team that monitors the quality of raw materials, finished products, and the production environment within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. You will direct a team of analysts and specialists and ensure the timely, compliant execution of all QC activities. With a specific focus on iodine products and raw material analyses, you will safeguard the quality, safety, and continuity of daily processes. You will be visibly present on the shop floor, resolve quality issues, and stimulate continuous improvement. Furthermore, you will contribute to employee development and to strengthening a quality and safety culture. Your work location is Eindhoven. For this role, knowledge of the Dutch language is necessary, level B2.Job Description

What you'll do

  • Leading a team of QC analysts and specialists and coaching them in daily activities, GMP compliance, and professional development.
  • Ensuring timely and compliant quality controls of raw materials, finished products, and the production environment according to GMP and EHS guidelines.
  • Being visibly present on the shop floor through Gemba walks, quality reviews, and GMP/EHS inspections.
  • Investigating, resolving, and preventing quality issues, deviations, OOS results, and technical disruptions.
  • Initiating and implementing process improvements within QC using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Approving deviations, CAPAs, change controls, procedures, specifications, protocols, and reports.
  • Bearing responsibility for QC KPIs, resource planning, and the efficient execution of operational activities.
  • Promoting a strong quality and safety culture through training, knowledge sharing, and leading by example.
