The role

Do you want to play an important role in the construction of the most exclusive superyachts in the world? At Royal Van Lent Shipyard, you ensure that everything behind the scenes is in order, so that the technical systems on board can be built and installed according to plan.

For more than 175 years, under the name Feadship, we have been building unique superyachts for an international clientele. At our locations in Kaag and Amsterdam, hundreds of professionals work together on custom work of the highest level. Due to a well-filled order book, we are looking for a Mechanical Works Planner who maintains an overview, thinks ahead, and ensures that our production teams always have the right information, materials, and parts at their disposal.

You will work on complex maritime installations and systems that ultimately come together in one of the most extraordinary end products in the world. In doing so, you are the connecting link between Engineering, Purchasing, Project Management, and Production, ensuring that construction can continue undisturbed.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Works Planner, you are responsible for the preparation of various mechanical installations and systems on board our superyachts. You are involved from the engineering phase through to execution in production.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Making technical information, materials, and parts available to production in a timely manner
  • Assembling and managing complete work packages
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
  • Processing and following up on technical changes during the project
  • Coordinating activities with Engineering, Purchasing, Project Management, and Production
  • Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in preparation and execution
  • Supporting production with technical questions and information requests
  • Monitoring progress, quality, planning, and material availability
  • Preparing and placing orders with suppliers

Through your structured approach, mechanics and production departments can work efficiently, and you contribute directly to the successful delivery of our superyachts.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Assembling and managing complete work packages
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bills of materials

In addition, you possess:

  • MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level, preferably in the direction of Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Technology, or similar;

  • Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities within technical projects;
  • A proactive and solution-oriented work attitude;
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.

What you bring

We are looking for a works planner who knows the maritime world. Experience within yacht building, shipbuilding, or offshore is therefore strongly desired. You understand how technical systems on board come together, can interpret drawings, and know what preparation is needed to allow production and assembly to proceed without delay. Thanks to that experience, you will quickly add value within our project teams.

In addition, you possess:
