The role
You ensure that our analyses are correct and that food and animal feed are safe. In this role, you work with diverse products, meaning no day is the same. You analyze heavy metals and trace elements in food and animal feed, process results, and maintain an overview when a lot happens at once. You work accurately, communicate clearly, and see immediately the effect of your work on the quality of our service.
What you'll do
As a Chemical Analyst ICP, you are responsible for elemental analyses using ICP‑techniques. You work with samples from the food and animal feed sector and carry out the entire analytical process: from weighing and sample preparation to the running of the ICP run and the reporting of results. You process analytical results accurately and ensure that the quality meets the applicable guidelines. We work according to fixed procedures, but you also have space to think along about improvements. You contribute to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining the quality system.
Sometimes urgent requests come in. In those moments, you switch gears quickly and maintain an overview, without this coming at the expense of the quality of our work. You work in an environment where collaboration and good communication are central. Your colleagues help each other, share knowledge, and work together to ensure a smooth process. In this way, you contribute every day to food safety in the Netherlands.
What makes this position special?
