Are you an organizational talent with technical insight and do you love it when everything is arranged to perfection? As an Electrical Engineering Work Preparer at D&W Elektrotechniek in Veendam, you ensure that service technicians and project teams are well-prepared to get to work. From material orders and technical solutions to planning and calculations: you maintain the overview and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

You will work on diverse service assignments and smaller electrical engineering projects. In doing so, you will have a lot of contact with technicians, suppliers, and colleagues. A varied role in which your technical knowledge and organizational talent come together!

As an Electrical Engineering Work Preparer, you are the connecting link between the field service and the internal organization. You ensure that small projects and service activities are technically and organizationally well-prepared. Thanks to your efforts, technicians have the right materials, information, and resources at the right time. Additionally, you are the technical point of contact for technicians and actively contribute ideas for practical solutions.

Your responsibilities include

• Preparing and coordinating small electrical engineering projects and service assignments;

• Determining which materials, components, and tools are needed and ordering these in a timely manner;

• Developing technical detailed solutions and checking technical specifications;

• Monitoring delivery times and maintaining contact with suppliers;

• Drafting work instructions and estimating the required activities and time;

• Making calculations and quotes for small projects and service activities;

• Supporting project leaders with the planning, administration, and progress of projects;

• Processing orders and recording price agreements;

• Performing the duties of the Service and Small Projects Coordinator during their absence.

You switch between different tasks daily and know how to set priorities well. In this way, you ensure that technicians can work efficiently and customers can count on good execution of their assignments.
