Electrical Construction Service Technician

This is the job for an experienced service technician with an electrotechnical background, who enjoys working independently and is not afraid of variety. One time you are working alone on a vacant lot, the next time in a team on a large project. Because you often work at heights, not being afraid of heights is a must.

• A completed technical education, such as Electrotechnics (EMSI, TSI), Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 8 years of experience as a service technician or technical specialist in construction site setup.

• At least VCA Basic Safety.

• A BE driver's license is a plus, so that you can get everywhere.

• No fear of heights – you regularly work at heights.

• A proactive, customer-oriented attitude and good communication skills.

• Travel time = working time!

• The salary for this position is between €3,302.- and €4,128.- gross per 4 weeks (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience.

• 38 vacation days to recharge properly in accordance with CAO Metaal & Techniek.

This will be your job
As a service technician, you are the specialist who ensures that vertical transport and construction equipment continue to work reliably and safely on and around the construction site. This means that one day you are performing a monthly inspection on a tower crane, the next day you are installing or dismantling a construction hoist, and after that, you are busy with the installation of a unit park or temporary facilities. You ensure that unit parks, hoists, and construction site setups are installed, maintained, and, if necessary, repaired quickly and efficiently.
What you are going to do:

• Installing and dismantling construction hoists, unit parks, and other temporary facilities.

• Ensuring a safe and well-equipped construction site, so that the project can start flawlessly.

• Troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions, particularly in the field of electrotechnics.

• Maintaining daily reports for an accurate overview of performed activities.

• Working independently or in a team at various locations throughout the country.

You start at 07:00 AM on location, work in all weather conditions, and ensure that the site manager is satisfied with your solutions. Because projects often last only a few days, you are constantly in different places and working in different situations.

You get a lot of freedom, but also responsibility: you ensure that everything is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. You are paid from the moment you leave home until you return home. Travel time = working time!
