Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.
With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.
Our ambitions are big. And we can only achieve them with committed people. That's why we invest in good employer practices and a working environment where you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe and speak your mind. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.
Dura Vermeer has great ambitions as a developer. In our portfolio, you will find challenging (area) developments with distinctive concepts, mostly in inner-city locations. Our working area covers South Holland, where we embrace urban challenges and want to add maximum value to our plans. This results in projects where you can truly make an impact in areas such as urban planning, architecture, sustainability, and social cohesion.
As an organization, we are growing toward a branch where 800 homes are acquired and sold at risk annually. This means that we ourselves bear the risk from the purchase to the sale of the homes. You play an important role in our complex developments.
Dura Vermeer distinguishes itself in the field of collaboration. We work closely with municipalities, partners, and stakeholders within our projects, and certainly also with our colleagues in Rotterdam. We are known for our intensive and sincere collaboration, which leads to innovative and sustainable solutions in every project.
At a national level, Dura Vermeer has a strong real estate organization that you can rely on. You regularly meet colleagues from other branches to exchange knowledge and develop expertise. With our internal area studio, ID, we offer an expertise center for spatial development, market advice and sales management, acquisition, and area development, which supports you in your project tasks.
With recently won tenders such as Sportcampus Rotterdam, WijCK Pijnacker and De Werf in Oegstgeest and the purchase of the Hunter Douglas site in Rotterdam, we show that we operate at the highest level of area development.
Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Rotterdam is a large operating company within the Dura Vermeer Group and operates as a developing builder in the South Holland region. We specialize in developing areas and neighborhoods and building homes, both multi-story and ground-bound, and utility buildings.
Our team is divided into six independent teams, each with their own expertise. Within these teams, which consist of approximately 35 colleagues, we work together with all necessary disciplines. The structure is flat and without unnecessary hierarchy, which ensures pleasant, efficient cooperation. In this way, we combine the advantages of a large company with the warm, personal atmosphere of smaller-scale teams.
An informal atmosphere prevails with us, with a typically Rotterdam mentality: hard work, but also hard laughter. We help each other where necessary and, thanks to the safe and inclusive working environment where everyone can be themselves, we are known as a great place to work!
