We believe in developing future-proof residential and working areas, where 'the bricks and the purpose' come together in a sustainable way - with an eye for quality of life, health, and climate adaptation. We call this Doing Good. The South region - including North Brabant, Limburg, and Zeeland - is full of opportunities for challenging real estate and area development. With ambitious growth on the horizon, we are looking for a driven development manager who wants to work with us on attractive areas and concepts with real impact, both within urban centers and in expansion areas. Do you see opportunities where others miss them and do you like to go that extra step to arrive at a winning proposal? Then we would love to meet you!
As a development manager, you work on identifying and leveraging new opportunities in real estate and area developments in the field of housing construction. You do this through tenders, partner selections, sales procedures, or by utilizing your extensive relationship network. When you identify a location with potential, you proactively approach the owners to discuss acquisition possibilities and conduct negotiations regarding potential purchases.
With your extensive relationship network, you create new possibilities in our region. You take the initiative to identify and explore potential development locations and build valuable relationships with municipalities, investors, housing associations, fellow developers, designers, and other partners that contribute to successful real estate propositions.
You combine creativity and business insight to develop winning plans. As a connecting director, you bring together municipalities, design teams, investors, and social partners and translate various interests into distinctive, feasible, and socially meaningful plans with clear economic value. You know better than anyone how to win tenders: you take the lead and, together with your team, translate the demand into a winning proposal. Dura Vermeer offers a strong and high-quality organization that supports your success. With investment capacity, entrepreneurship, and a team of top professionals, we strive to grow together, make an impact, and realize plans that we will look back on with pride for years to come.
Collaboration is deep in our DNA. As a development manager at Dura Vermeer, you never work alone, but always in connection with others. Internally, you build on the expertise of fellow developers, our area studio ID, concept developers, and construction teams that translate your plans into feasible and distinctive projects. Externally, you actively seek collaboration with both public and private partners such as municipalities and provinces, housing associations, investors, designers, and social organizations, and where relevant, with residents and users. Together, we bring diverse interests together and provide direction to projects that have added value for the entire region. It is precisely through this intensive collaboration that we create plans that are not only commercially strong but also socially meaningful - projects that everyone can be proud of.
In the South region, there are plenty of growth opportunities for innovative real estate and area developments, both within urban centers and in expansion areas. Dura Vermeer builds on a solid foundation as a builder and increasingly profiles itself as a developer that fulfills ambitions and makes a difference in the region. Together with municipalities, associations, investors, and design teams, we realize distinctive plans that are feasible, climate-adaptive, future-proof, and of high quality, and that add lasting value to the living environment. With our craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and strong network, we work on projects that contribute to reducing the housing shortage, strengthening cities and villages, and creating healthy, sustainable living environments. Our growth ambition is clear: to risk-bearingly acquire and develop 300 to 500 homes annually. That requires courage, decisiveness, and collaboration. And you can play a key role in that.
These requirements show the direction of the profile we are looking for in this position. If you do not recognize yourself in all the requirements, but do think this is the right position for you, then we would love to have a conversation with you.
At Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed, we have been combining entrepreneurship, innovation, and craftsmanship for more than 165 years. From iconic area developments to everyday living and working spaces: together we realize projects that contribute to the solutions of tomorrow and create lasting value for the Netherlands.
What truly sets us apart is our way of working together. With municipalities, associations, investors, and partners, but certainly also with our colleagues within the South region. Openness, involvement, and shared ambition are central to this. Moreover, you can count on the strength of our national real estate organization and the expertise of Gebiedsstudio ID – our internal expertise center for spatial development, market advice, and sales management. And with our construction division behind you, we make even the largest plans feasible and achievable.
We are proud to be an official Great Place to Work. That means your happiness at work comes first: you can be yourself, feel safe, and grow – both personally and professionally.
