The role

Amsterdam - At de Volkskrant, interns are welcome in all sub-editorials throughout the year. To journalism talent, we offer an enjoyable and educational period of at least three months.

During your internship, you will get plenty of opportunities to get hands-on in a pleasant working atmosphere. You will participate fully in a sub-editorial: you write articles, help with audiovisual productions, or perform other work within our journalistic organization.

This vacancy is intended for internship positions from March through May 2027. Submit your application for this period no later than Wednesday, December 16, 2026 . We will use the following weeks for the selection of interns. You can already apply for later internship periods, but we will only make decisions regarding the details of those positions at a later date.

  • Digital team: you will assist and contribute ideas to the distribution of our articles via the mobile app, website, newsletters, and push notifications.

What makes you a good candidate?

  • You are curious, have journalistic ambition, and an affinity for de Volkskrant.

  • For the reporting desks: you have writing talent and experience.
