Goods Processing

• Coordinating the receipt, inspection, and distribution of goods.

• Checking shipments for accuracy, completeness, and quality.

• Liaising with store departments and suppliers for an efficient flow of goods.

• Ensuring a safe, orderly, and quality-oriented working environment.

Administration and system processing

• Timely and correct processing of deliveries, stock movements, return flows, and discrepancies.

• Identifying stock differences and shrinkage risks and proposing improvement actions.

• Collaborating with administrative teams to optimize processes.

Inventory management and warehouse layout

• Optimizing warehouse layout, stock positions, and work processes.

• Planning and coordinating counts and supporting analyses.

• Ensuring the warehouse meets the premium standard of De Bijenkorf: safe, clean, and organized.

Safety & Emergency Response (Shift Leader)

• Monitoring and safeguarding safety guidelines.

• Guiding training and actions during emergency response situations.

• Ensuring an alert team that knows how to act during incidents.

Team support

• Guiding and supporting colleagues and temporary staff in their development.

• Acting as an inspiring example in terms of collaboration, inclusivity, and responsible behavior.

A workday in this role

• Start: Checking incoming deliveries and discussing daily priorities.

• Morning: Processing goods flows, reporting discrepancies, and directing the team.

• Midday: Contributing to inventory analyses, optimizing processes, and improving warehouse structure.

• Afternoon: Checking stock levels, optimizing processes, and handling ad-hoc challenges.

• End of the day: Checking safety, completing administration, and leaving the warehouse tidy.

The Operations department forms the logistical foundation of the department store. This is where it is ensured that goods arrive on time, correctly, and in perfect condition and reach the store. From warehouse organization to inventory reliability: the team ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so that the optimal customer experience can arise on the floor.

As a Senior Operations Associate, you act as an experienced force within this team, contributing to safety, quality, and efficiency in all logistical processes.

Based on a full-time employment contract (40 hours), you can count on:

• A gross monthly salary between € 2,692 and € 3,242

What you bring
