The role
For our Production Control department, we are looking for an analytical and ambitious graduating student. You will be responsible for issuing an advisory report describing a new, more flexible assembly management. Currently, our factories have a fixed moment at which the production of a main component is started without taking into account the next (internal) customer and associated subsequent processes. Over time, more dedicated subsequent processes have been established due to changed products and processes, which means our rigid assembly management setup limits us. We are looking for a new, more flexible assembly management that takes the changing production environment into account. The actual implementation falls outside the scope of the assignment. The core of your internship:
What you'll do
- You will work closely with various stakeholders to map out requirements and wishes;
- Analyzing the current model that forms the basis of assembly management;
- Careful coordination with IT to guarantee integration into logistical and operational systems;
- Defining functional and non-functional requirements for future assembly management;
- Drafting an advisory report including a proposed implementation plan.
