Your duties include

• Booking and processing financial administrations;

• Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts and interim figures;

• Preparing income tax and corporate tax returns;

• Identifying opportunities and risks at clients;

• Thinking along about improvements in financial processes;

• Collaborating with accountants, tax specialists, and advisors within the team.

What will my work as a Junior Assistant Accountant look like?

As a Junior Assistant Accountant, you will lay a solid foundation for your career in accountancy. You will support clients with a strong focus on healthcare providers and regional SME entrepreneurs with financial and administrative issues. With your eagerness to learn, accuracy, and fresh perspective, you will contribute directly to the quality of our services.

You will start with basic tasks and receive more responsibility step by step. In doing so, you will work closely with experienced colleagues who will guide and coach you in your development. As you grow in your role, you will further expand your duties towards the independent preparation of annual accounts and financial reports.

You will work for a varied client portfolio with a strong focus on the healthcare sector. Think of GPs, physiotherapists, dentists, and other healthcare providers. Additionally, you will support various SME entrepreneurs from the region.

Through personal contact, you will get to know clients and their businesses well and gain insight into diverse financial issues that arise within their daily practice.

When is the position of Junior Assistant Accountant right for me?

You recognize yourself in:

• A completed HBO degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, or similar, or the expectation to complete this shortly;

• Or a completed MBO degree with the ambition to grow further via an HBO degree;

• Affinity with financial issues and interest in healthcare providers and SME entrepreneurs;

• A careful and structured way of working;

• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude;

• The motivation to continuously develop yourself within the accountancy profession.

You will work within the accountancy team of Countus Wageningen, where you will collaborate with accountants, tax specialists, and advisors. Together, you will primarily support healthcare providers and SME entrepreneurs with various financial and business-related issues.

The Wageningen office is part of Cluster Zuid, together with the Barneveld-Ede, Odijk, and Mill offices. Within this cluster, various disciplines work closely together, ensuring that knowledge sharing, collaboration, and personal development are central.
