As a (nearly) optometrist at Bergman Clinics in Amersfoort, you will work in a varied and independent role, where you can count on the expertise and support of a professional team of ophthalmologists. You will be given the freedom to work independently and also learn extensively from experienced colleagues. As an optometrist, you will work closely with our ophthalmologists and other (para)medics. You are responsible for providing a welcoming and professional guidance to clients during your examination. You can quickly define the complaint and immediately apply the correct examinations to ensure the client requires as few visits as possible.

• Independently performing (functional) examinations

• Supporting ophthalmologists

• Pre- and postoperative examinations

• Informing, instructing, and guiding clients/caregivers

• Thinking along about the improvement of our processes

• Administrative tasks such as processing client information, consulting with third parties, and creating consultation reports

• Attending paramedic consultations, as well as client consultations

What do you need to be successful in this role?
As an optometrist, you are good at working independently, but you also function perfectly within a team. You communicate clearly and adapt your communication style to the person you are speaking with. This allows you to respond well to the needs of the clients and translate them into appropriate treatment pathways. Additionally, it is important that:

• A salary between €4,043 and €6,058 gross per month (FWG 55), in accordance with the ZKN collective labor agreement based on full-time employment (40 hours)

• An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% and holiday allowance of 8.33%

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer with a maximum of 80 km (one way). Do you travel by public transport? Then we reimburse these costs fully

• A fixed-term contract with a view to permanent employment

• With full-time employment, you receive 160 vacation hours and no less than 72 extra PLB hours per calendar year. The PLB hour budget has no expiration period

This is where you will work
In this focus clinic Bergman Clinics | Ogen in Amersfoort, you will be part of a team consisting of: ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, ANIOS, Physician Assistants, and TOAs. We offer personal, high-quality customized care in a relaxed atmosphere. The clinic has a fully equipped outpatient clinic and OR complex. Cataract surgery, vitrectomy, glaucoma surgeries, corneal transplants, tear duct surgery, and eyelid surgeries, among others, are performed here. IVIs and procedures are performed in the outpatient treatment room. The clinic is easily accessible from the A1 and you can park for free at the door.
