As a Manager Business Control at BDO, you will play a key role in the financial management of the organization. You are a strong and independent partner for the Board of Directors, senior management, and other internal stakeholders. Using your expertise, you contribute to the further professionalization of financial management, the quality of management information, and the translation of strategy into concrete financial frameworks and decision-making.
In this role, as a member of the Finance & Operations management team, you are co-responsible for the design and further development of BDO's financial management. You lead the team responsible for the planning and control cycle and ensure reliable, timely, and relevant management information. In doing so, you oversee both the operational dynamics and the strategic challenges of the organization.
You move easily in an environment with multiple business units, diverse interests, and a wide field of stakeholders. You know how to reduce financial issues to clear analyses and well-founded advice. At the same time, you are able to further develop the department, improve processes, and provide targeted guidance to employees in their professional and personal growth.
This position is intended for an experienced business controller or manager business control who is accustomed to operating in a complex organizational context. Ideally, you already have experience as a Manager Business Control, or you bring several years of relevant experience as a senior business controller within a business unit with multiple departments, budget responsibilities, and a wide range of stakeholders.
You are responsible for the quality and integrity of the planning and control cycle and for the further development of the associated work processes, reports, and management information. You identify financial and business developments, assess their impact on the organization, and translate this into guiding advice for the board and management.
Additionally, you play an important role in strengthening the organization's steering power. This means that you do not only look back and report, but specifically look forward, assess scenarios, and help in making well-founded choices. You know what is required to properly position business control in a professional organization and have an eye for the balance between control, insight, and agility.
The location for this position is Eindhoven.
For this role, we are looking for a candidate with seniority, analytical sharpness, and organizational sensitivity. Someone who combines substantive depth with leadership and who is able to switch effectively at different levels within the organization.
You are critical, decisive, and able to operate with authority and tact within a managerial context. You know when to mirror, when to advise, and when to take charge.
