Elektrotechnisch Ingenieur/ Electrical Engineer

To successfully apply for this role, you recognize yourself in the following:

• Possession of a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Possessing relevant experience within industrial electrical engineering, preferably within process industry plants in an ATEX environment.
• Knowledge of relevant technical regulations in the Netherlands.
• Experience or skills in managing (project) teams (also remotely).

• Fluent in spoken and written Dutch (essential) and English. Proficiency in an additional language would also be preferred, to assist with international projects.

We are leading suppliers of technical advisory and services for the operational phase. Our key competence in the Process Industries division is providing multidisciplinary engineering services, particularly in the pulp & paper, chemicals & biorefining, and mining & metals sectors.

We are looking for an experienced, full-time, Electrical Engineer to strengthen our dynamic team of experts within our Process Industries division in the recently established Dutch branch of AFRY. You will work on both large and small assignments and projects at our brand-new, highly attractive, centrally located office in Rotterdam.

In your role as Electrical Engineer, you will be the sole Electrical Engineer working in a small, growing, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial team of in-house experts. In this position, you will receive the responsibility to set up the electrical engineering component for the division; additionally, you will be the key expert for this field within AFRY Netherlands. This position reports directly to the Vice President, PID Netherlands.

Additionally, as an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for/involved in:

• The establishment of the electrical engineering field within the Process Industries division.
• Being the main point of contact/leader for all electrical engineering related matters within the internal team and for external client project teams.
• Contributing to projects in various phases: from feasibility studies, detailed engineering, and design to supervision of installation, acceptance, and start-up on site. 
• Developing and processing complex electrical engineering & design documents such as specifications for equipment, requirements, and installations.
• Supervising projects and changes therein; the quality of work, deadlines, and costs are of great importance.
• Being in direct contact with our customers and acting as the link to the planning team for large, detailed engineering projects.
• Reviewing factory documents, performing production checks and acceptances, and taking responsibility for project processing, assembly, and commissioning.
