Data & Interest Rate Management Mortgages Intern

During your internship, would you like to work on an application that plays a crucial role in determining and distributing mortgage interest rates? Within ABN AMRO Mortgages, you will get the chance to gain experience in a team working on the application in which our mortgage interest rates are mutated and distributed within the landscape.

Additionally, the team works on making the data that underlies interest rate decisions visible, such as competitor rates, margin rates, and other relevant steering information. An interesting internship for students who get energy from the combination of data, business, mortgages, and digitalization.

The mortgage interest rate is an important part of our service and market position. Behind an interest rate adjustment lies a careful process, in which data, analysis, decision-making, and distribution come together. Within this team, we work on an application that supports this process, and we continuously improve the quality, transparency, and usability of the underlying information.

As an intern, you will be part of the team and help us further improve data, processes, and insights. You will get the chance to learn how interest rate management works within a mortgage organization and how data is used to make well-founded decisions.

Your duties may include

• Supporting the visualization and analysis of data regarding mortgage interest rates;
• Contributing ideas for improvements to the application used to mutate and distribute interest rates;
• Collecting, structuring, and visualizing information such as competitor rates, margin rates, and other steering information;
• Identifying opportunities to make processes more efficient, transparent, and better manageable;
• Coordinating with colleagues from business and IT regarding requirements, improvements, and data insights;

Depending on your studies and internship assignment, you can further specialize in topics such as data visualization, process analysis, business analysis, chain collaboration, information provision, or data-driven decision-making.

You are analytical, accurate, and curious about how data and processes contribute to good decision-making. You find it interesting to understand how mortgage interest rates are established and how systems, data, and business rules are interconnected.

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You are pursuing a HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree, for example in the direction of Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business IT & Management, Information Science, or a similar field of study;
• You have an affinity with data, analyses, financial processes, and/or IT;
• You enjoy making connections and making complex information understandable;
• You work accurately and are able to structure well;
• You are proactive and dare to take initiative;
• You can collaborate well with different types of colleagues;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language, and preferably also English;
• You are available for an internship of at least 4 to 5 months for 32 to 36 hours per week.
