What you'll get
We offer you a great internship. The Onboarding Program ensures that you, as a new intern, quickly feel like part of the team. There is plenty of room to learn and grow. In both environments, you can gain a wealth of experience. Naturally, this is under the excellent guidance of your internship supervisor and close colleagues.
During your internship, it is not only about gaining substantive knowledge and practical experience, but you also actively work on your professional development and expanding your network. CAST, the Club ABN AMRO Interns, organizes both substantive and social (online) events. Additionally, CASt organizes monthly Go & See's to get acquainted with various departments within ABN AMRO, allowing you to get to know the bank even better. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your hard skills through the ABN AMRO Academy via challenging e-learnings.
The internship allowance for an mbo, hbo, or wo internship is €750 per month (based on a 36-hour work week).
The role
Are you a curious and entrepreneurial HBO or WO student with an interest in advising on 'doing good' through wealth, commitment, knowledge, and time (volunteering)? Do you want to help guide our clients in making a social impact? Then start as an intern at ABN AMRO MeesPierson and support our Philanthropy Advisory department.
Philanthropy Advisory is an engaging, proactive department within Wealth Management that helps clients daily to do good effectively by providing advice on the use of money, time, and knowledge for a better world. This is a topical subject because we see that more and more clients (young and old) want advice on this topic. For you, this is the chance to work with us during your internship and learn a lot about how you can contribute positively to society.
Philanthropy Advisory is a service for Private Banking clients that is deployed to support clients with their desire to give social direction to their wealth. This service is seen as an opportunity to deepen the relationship with a client, stimulate social involvement, and demonstrate innovation within the bank. Foundations are set up for clients to do good through them. We also make selections of charities for our clients and organize very special client
meetings on topics such as art and culture, sports, poverty reduction, and equal opportunity.
What you'll do
Together with the department, you will go through the agenda regarding planned client meetings, events, or projects, so that you can prepare and handle them in the correct manner. Furthermore:
- You support the creation of charity reports;
- You help in collecting information from charities;
- You are responsible for the mailbox;
- You create presentations (PowerPoint), manage the database, and handle client administration;
- You help with the organization of client meetings on wonderful topics and, together with the specialists, represent the Philanthropy Advisory department;
- You regularly perform client evaluations.
Your profile
Do you have courage and are you proactive, entrepreneurial, and curious enough to investigate what is best for the client? Do you work carefully, are you service-oriented, and do you have an eye for detail? Then we are looking for you!
- You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages;
- You have an affinity with charities and are socially involved;
- You are looking for an internship starting from February 2027 for at least 20 weeks;
- You are available at least 4 days per week.
