It is an international organization where we are in contact every day with suppliers, factories, and customers from all parts of the world.

The Procurement department is responsible for the strategic development and management of supplier relationships. Additionally, the department ensures the optimal availability of ingredients and packaging materials for Abbott's production sites.

Qualification and validation processes are essential to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance. At the same time, differences between locations can lead to longer lead times, higher costs, and extra workload.

Abbott is investigating how a more risk-based and standardized approach can be developed without compromising compliance and patient safety.

You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree and wish to complete a graduation project or master's thesis. Furthermore, the student has the following knowledge and skills:

• HBO or WO student in Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Life Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
• Interest in continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluent English due to daily collaboration with international stakeholders.

• You will receive an internship at a globally operating healthcare company. An internship is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with it; perhaps one of Abbott's companies will even become your future employer.
• You will be assigned a technical supervisor with whom you will spar about the substantive progress of your assignment, and you will receive a mentor from the Project Management department. The supervisor/mentor will discuss progress with you and, if necessary, liaise with your educational institution.
• To do your work well, you will be given access to the systems with an Abbott laptop.
• And finally, you will receive an internship allowance of € 500,- (gross per month for full-time).
