How do you ensure that international goods move through our chain as smartly as possible? During this internship, you will research how we can organize our international flow of goods more efficiently and reduce unnecessary logistical operations.

Bidfood is the leading online wholesaler for hospitality and foodservice. A portion of our assortment is purchased internationally and enters our distribution network via external logistics partners. And that is exactly where your challenge lies.

Internationally purchased products currently enter our central distribution center via a logistics partner. There, pallets are partially rebuilt before products are further distributed to our locations.

You will investigate whether this can be done more smartly. What happens if products are collected or distributed differently at an earlier stage? And what does that mean for handling, transport, costs, and delivery reliability?
