What we're looking for

a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in the direction of Leisure Management, Facility Management, or Higher Hotel School;
at least 3 years of relevant work experience and having previously managed a large team, preferably in the Leisure industry or a similar organization;
you are flexibly deployable, also in evenings, weekends, and on public holidays; you know that guest experience knows no office hours;
you possess excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
you have inspiring leadership abilities and know how to motivate your team and implement changes effectively;
you are a go-getter, decisive, and independent;
you have financial insight and can work well with a budget;
you work in a structured manner and can switch quickly between tasks;
able to set priorities within the various occurring tasks of the Operations department and to execute them in a planned manner;
you possess a B driving license and your own transport;

The role

As Assistant Manager Operations, you are co-responsible for the daily management of the Rides and Parking operational departments. You ensure a safe, efficient, and guest-oriented operation and switch effortlessly in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do

managing, coaching, and guiding employees and supervisors;
replacing the Manager Operations in their absence;
Ensuring optimal staff planning aligned with visitor numbers, operations, and budget, and being able to anticipate influencing factors;
conducting recruitment, performance, and appraisal interviews and ensuring follow-up resulting from these interviews for both Walibi as employer and from the employee's side;
monitoring and guiding the correct training for employees to perform their duties professionally and overseeing work in accordance with learned procedures and guidelines;
drafting and maintaining (operational) procedures (for safety purposes) and ensuring compliance with (among others) TUV regulations;
responsible for monitoring the quality of attractions based on guest satisfaction surveys via the Kheolia system, monitoring employee satisfaction on the work floor, and monitoring procedures and processes regarding safety and capacity;
identifying and implementing improvements within processes and working methods;
organizing and chairing various (departmental) meetings and ensuring and managing the completion of their output;
fulfilling roles such as Park Duty Manager, Department Duty, and BHV Duty during opening hours;
supporting other departments within the park when necessary.
