Asset Management Supervisor

As an Asset Management Supervisor, you are a true team captain. Think of Ronald Koeman, Louis van Gaal, or Bert van Marwijk who made a success of the Dutch National Team. You will come to work as an Asset Management Supervisor in the Maintenance department.

As a Supervisor, you are at least flexible and entrepreneurial. The workday starts around 06:45 or at 19:45 in the site office with the guys. You conduct a daily start and discuss the tasks that need to be done. Daily, you are in contact with the Work Preparer, Project Leader, and client. Your workday is diverse because you are also responsible for the planning of equipment and personnel. As a supervisor, you are the director on the worksites. You are the linchpin, the driver of the team. You monitor progress, adjust where necessary, and ensure that everything runs smoothly. Safety and quality are your priorities. Together with your colleagues and subcontractors, you work on challenging projects that make a difference. Additionally, you ensure compliance with company procedures, the established schedule, and the budget.

During the day, you also ensure the optimal deployment of your colleagues by motivating, monitoring, and stimulating them. You do this partly through open and honest communication. In addition to these tasks, you also perform (financial) project administration (creating vouchers for subcontractors/suppliers, etc.).

Because there is a variety of work and different disciplines within Maintenance, no two days are the same.

The project team 'BOC' has their project location in Geertruidenberg. From there, we are responsible for the Green and Grey management for the West-Brabant area. This means that for green, we maintain the verges and trees, and for Grey, maintenance sites, paving, noise barriers, public lighting, pumps, and pumping stations.

BOC (Basis Onderhoud Contract) is a UAV GC contract. Much is expected from this in terms of knowledge of our organization. We involve our customers in improvements, optimization, and honest work for honest money. To achieve this, we make use of asset management and the PDCA cycle, in order to continuously improve ourselves.

The team consists of a Technical Manager, Maintenance Engineer, Environmental Manager, Contract Manager, 2 Work Preparers, and 2 supervisors, ranging from junior to senior level. Additionally, we have 16 motivated colleagues who take on extra tasks outside of work. You will all work closely together here. We work hard, but there is certainly room for relaxation and humor. You can describe the culture at Gebr. Van Kessel as an informal company with a flat structure. The door is always open for everyone, and we are ready for one another. Your manager is not a boss but a no-nonsense person with a lot of knowledge and experience in the field of maintenance management and systems, where development is a priority.

In this position, you can demonstrate your own entrepreneurship and you are flexible to act on unforeseen circumstances, where you go searching for solutions with the team. On one hand, your work is predictable; on the other hand, every day is a surprise. You are decisive and open to learning. You will do all of this under the guidance of an experienced supervisor. Mistakes are allowed to be made, and we contribute to your development into an independent Supervisor. Furthermore:

• You have an HBO (higher professional education) level of work and thinking;

• Preferably, you already have several years of work experience in a similar position and an affinity with green and grey activities, or Asset Management;

• You are familiar with maintenance management systems and have knowledge of various contract forms (UAV-RAW-UAV-GC);

• You are willing to follow the 'Knowledge of Nature Conservation Act level 3' course.
