The role
As Senior HSEQ Business Partner Projects, you will fulfill a key role within our project organization. You will operate in a dynamic and project-driven environment where safety, quality, and environment require continuous attention. In this role, you will go beyond merely advising: you will steer, challenge, and improve structurally.
You are co-responsible for the functioning and further development of the HSEQ management system within projects and act as a critical sparring partner for project management and directors. You know how to make the difference between paperwork and practice and focus on effective risk management.
Additionally, you represent the organization in HSEQ consultations with customers, chain partners, government bodies, and industry organizations, and you make an active contribution to the VINCI Energies Netherlands HSEQ network. In this way, you help to continuously further increase the HSEQ maturity of the organization.
You are an experienced HSEQ professional who operates independently, takes clear positions, and dares to challenge management and project teams on substance. You identify risks early, act upon them, and bring people along based on professional knowledge, authority, and persuasiveness.
We are looking for reinforcement for one of the business units in our network. This business unit has been a specialist in industrial insulation for more than 100 years and works from Vlaardingen, Wormerveer, and Sas van Gent with approximately 50 colleagues on thermal, acoustic, and fire-resistant insulation for maintenance of existing installations and for new construction projects in the industry.
Safe working, craftsmanship, quality, and service orientation are central. You work within the VINCI Energies network: with the short lines and involvement of a specialist business unit AND the knowledge, development opportunities, and impact of an international network.
This role demands a lot, but also offers trust, autonomy, and influence. You will be given the space to fully utilize your experience and make a visible impact within a professional and technically complex organization.
What you'll do
- Assessing HSE plans, RI&E's, and TRA's for quality, completeness, and applicability in practice.
- Leading incident investigations and ensuring that improvement measures are actually implemented and secured.
- Independently conducting internal, external, and supplier audits and inspections.
- Analyzing KPIs, incidents, and trends and translating these into concrete steering information and improvement actions for management and project teams.
- Providing requested and unrequested advice on compliance, risk management, and process improvement.
- Fully and authoritatively fulfilling the role of Prevention Officer.
- Acting as the substantive point of contact for project-related safety specialists.
- Representing the business unit in HSEQ consultations with customers, chain partners, government bodies, and industry organizations.
- Actively contributing to the VINCI Energies Netherlands HSEQ network and to the further professionalization of HSEQ within the organization.
HSEQ network
- Collaboration within a strong and professional HSEQ network.
