What we're looking for

You have a technical education at HBO/HBO+ level or a comparable level.
You have at least 4 years of relevant work experience in industrial automation.
You have extensive knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems (Level 1/2). Experience with Siemens and Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) is a major plus.
You can analyze technical issues, solve faults structurally, and realize software-based improvements.
You are communicatively strong and enjoy solving problems together with customers. You can advise, guide, and support them with technical issues.
You work independently, take responsibility, and switch easily between different customers and tasks.

The role

As an Improvement Engineer, you ensure the software-based optimization of customer processes and the associated automation, particularly in production environments. In doing so, you focus primarily on industrial automation at the PLC/SCADA level (Level 1/2). You analyze faults, investigate the cause, and adjust software to structurally improve processes. Because a fault may occur once, but not ten times.

You work for multiple customers and have various issues and projects under your care. Tasks and priorities vary, meaning no two days are the same. Together with Improvement Analysts and Consultants, you translate technical issues into concrete improvements. You advise customers on possible solutions, implement adjustments with minimal downtime, and ensure that documentation always remains up-to-date.
