Project Assistant | Bodegraven | 32-40 hours | Traffic Engineering

Are you a true organizer who likes to maintain an overview, communicates easily, and ensures that everything runs smoothly? At HIG Traffic Systems in Bodegraven, we are looking for a Project Assistant to support our project managers and technicians in the organization and administration of traffic engineering projects throughout the Netherlands.

As a Project Assistant, you are the organizational and administrative backbone of our projects. You support the project managers, maintain an overview, and ensure that colleagues both in the field and in the office can continue their work.

You are not someone who waits around, but sees what needs to be done and takes action!

Think, for example, of:

• Maintaining and updating project schedules and appointments.

• Coordinating with the planning department regarding the deployment of technicians, subcontractors, and equipment.

• Ordering materials and monitoring deliveries.

• Maintaining contact with suppliers, colleagues, and other involved parties.

• Maintaining project administration, work orders, and project documentation.

• Collecting and processing information for ongoing projects.

• Monitoring outstanding actions and following up on appointments.

• Supporting project managers with daily organizational and administrative tasks.

In short: you ensure that everything is well-organized behind the scenes, so that our project managers and technicians can focus on the work outside.

We are primarily looking for someone who loves to organize, shows initiative, and finds pleasure in supporting others.

• You are organizationally strong and work accurately.

• You communicate easily and pick up the phone without hesitation.

• You can work independently and maintain an overview when many things are happening at once.

• You are proficient with computers and administrative systems.

• You think in solutions and actively pursue outstanding matters.

• You enjoy collaborating and relieving colleagues of their burdens.

• You have an interest in technology or are willing to learn about it.

Experience as a Project Assistant, Project Supporter, Administrative Assistant, or Planner is a plus. A specific education or technical work experience is not necessary. We find your attitude, organizational talent, and sense of responsibility to be at least as important.

At HIG Traffic Systems in Bodegraven, you work in a dedicated team where everyone knows each other and the lines of communication are short.

Our projects revolve around traffic safety and mobility. Think of installing detection loops in the road surface and working on traffic installations throughout the Netherlands.

While our technicians are working outside, you help from the office to ensure the projects run well-organized.

No two days are the same. One time you are arranging materials for a new project, the next time you are updating the schedule, coordinating tasks, or ensuring the project administration is complete.
