Payroll Specialist

In the HR Solutions and Business Solutions team at Van Oers, approximately 80 colleagues help organizations organize their people and their processes effectively. Whether it concerns payroll administration, HR issues, or recruitment: the team ensures certainty, quality, and continuity.

As a Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for payroll processing and the periodic filing of payroll taxes. This includes configuration, maintenance, updates, and optimization of the software for the efficient payroll processing of your client. You prepare periodic reports. You process changes and proactively think along with the client. Additionally, you maintain continuous dialogue with your client and with relevant authorities, such as the Tax Administration.

A glimpse of your tasks:

• You ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding wage tax, social insurance, and labor law;

• You generate periodic reports for clients regarding labor costs and other relevant payroll data;

• You advise and support clients and colleagues in the field of payroll administration, taxes, and social security;

• You assist in the guidance and training of less experienced colleagues.

You possess decisiveness and analytical ability. You are clear in your communication and pleasant to interact with. You are proactive, creative, and involved. Additionally, you are customer-oriented, accurate, and integer. You can set priorities and meet deadlines, even in busy situations.

Furthermore, we ask:

• You have a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree;

• You have a completed PDL education; if you have VPS, that is certainly a great advantage;

• You have at least 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist;

• You have experience with AFAS or Loket.
