As a Junior VAT Tax Advisor at Van Oers at our Breda location, you take your lead. You do this together; you work in a close-knit team of 5 colleagues, where a good working atmosphere is high on the agenda.

As a Junior VAT Tax Advisor, you work in a close-knit team of 5 colleagues, where a good working atmosphere is high on the agenda. You prepare (complex) VAT returns and you reclaim foreign VAT. Additionally, you work out advisory assignments and you keep the client continuously informed. You also have regular contact with the Tax Authorities. If you have an interest in data analysis and statistical sampling, you may take this further.
A glimpse of your tasks:
You collect and verify relevant financial data and ensure timely submission to the tax authorities;
You prepare periodic reports regarding the VAT activities of clients, to comply with legal requirements and to provide insight into the financial situation;
You work on professional development through training, workshops, and obtaining relevant certifications to build expertise and to stay up to date with trends and developments in the sector.
You possess problem-solving, analytical, and empathetic abilities. You are critical, accurate, integer, and customer-oriented. Additionally, you are communicatively skilled and can adapt to changing circumstances. In busy periods, you keep your cool, set priorities, and maintain an overview. You say what you do and do what you say.
Furthermore, we ask:
A completed university degree in Fiscal Economics or Tax Law;
You enjoy working with Dutch and foreign clients.
