As a Tax Advisor at Van Oers at our location in Breda, Roosendaal, Rotterdam or The Hague, you take your lead. You do this together; you work in a team. You look beyond the numbers and respond to what is truly happening with your clients. In this way, you make a direct impact on their business, the local economy, and society. You stay ahead by translating fiscal developments into practical solutions. Just do it, with confidence and craftsmanship. At the same time, you get all the space to grow: in knowledge, responsibility, and personal development.
At Van Oers, you work in a people-oriented organization where colleagues look out for one another and where you are given the space to be yourself. Do you want to know what is happening, think ahead, and make a difference together? Then come work at Van Oers and become a Tax Advisor.
As a Tax Advisor, you will advise clients in the field of taxation. You help the client optimize their tax position and comply with fiscal laws and regulations. Additionally, you stay informed about new tax rules and legislation. You interpret and evaluate current developments and translate this into practical advice for your client.
A glimpse of your tasks:
You provide national and international tax advice;
You check complex tax returns, such as income tax, corporate tax, and turnover tax;
You support your client during tax audits by the Tax Authorities. This includes answering questions from the inspector and collecting relevant documentation;
You assess annual accounts for fiscal aspects and you investigate advisory possibilities;
You monitor the quality of the work of your colleagues in the role of Tax Advisory Assistant and Junior Tax Advisor;
You offer technical professional support to less experienced colleagues; collaborating means sharing knowledge
You possess decisiveness and work in a result-oriented manner. You are accurate, involved, reliable, and proactive. Additionally, you have strong communication skills. You can provide your clients and colleagues with clear and honest explanations regarding complex fiscal issues. You find it no problem to give people feedback. You take the lead when the situation calls for it.
Furthermore, we ask:
A completed university degree in Fiscal Economics or Tax Law;
You have knowledge of various types of taxation, such as income tax, corporate tax, and turnover tax;
You enjoy working with SMEs;
Ambition: you want to develop yourself on a professional and personal level.
With us, you may or rather must ‘just do it’. Saying what you do and doing what you say, that is how we work at Van Oers. We communicate clearly and honestly; we don't blow our own trumpet. Together with colleagues, partners, and clients, we put our shoulders to the wheel
Furthermore, we offer:
A suitable salary that aligns with your knowledge and relevant work experience for this role;
Mobility budget where you decide how to use it;
Non-contributory pension with the possibility of tax-advantaged supplementary savings;
Laptop and mobile phone;
Study scheme;
Possibility to work partially from home;
Home office allowance of €2.45 per day;
€1200,- budget from Coolblue to set up your home workspace after completing your probationary period;
A well-developed onboarding process in which you get to know the organization, tasks, and colleagues.
