As an (Senior) Consultant Advisory, you are part of the International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) service line. Within this practice, we advise various types of companies (including listed companies, multinationals, private equity funds and portfolio companies, scale-ups, family businesses and their shareholders, and non-profit organizations).
Do you want to orient yourself broadly within this practice or focus specifically on a particular market or sector, such as American multinationals, real estate, or family businesses? Everything is possible! You determine where your focus lies.
We build long-term advisory relationships with our clients and help them with various types of complex fiscal and strategic issues related to international business and global expansions. You advise on corporate income tax, dividend and withholding tax, income tax, tax treaties, and EU and international tax legislation.
As a (Senior) Consultant, you are actively involved in the advisory process; from performing technical tax analyses to writing the advice. You have contact with your clients, tax colleagues in the Netherlands and abroad, and tax authorities.
We love a challenge: unraveling complex technical issues while simultaneously finding the right commercial solution for the client.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Every (Senior) Consultant International Corporate Tax Advisory gets the opportunity to improve his/her skills through various avenues. These include internal technical consultations twice a week, participation in the training of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) for candidates with a completed degree in tax law or economics, Ta Academy as EY's internal program conducted via Nyenrode Business University, and finally, access to the broader EY knowledge network with various opportunities to broaden knowledge and learn (soft) skills.
EY Netherlands' ITTS Advisory team consists of approximately 300 colleagues spread across Amsterdam, Arnhem, The Hague, Eindhoven, Groningen, Hengelo, Maastricht, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Zwolle.
Our professionals regularly coordinate with other colleagues in the Netherlands within the various Tax disciplines and with the EY Dutch Desk offices in global financial centers, including New York, Chicago, London, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Houston, Tokyo, and Singapore. This global collaboration enables us to combine local expertise with insights from various sectors, markets, and cultures, so that we are always at the forefront of the latest tax developments and trends. Working at one of these international desks is, of course, an option.
Our team is a young, dynamic, and ambitious team that wants to get the best out of itself and wants to realize results for the client. Do you want to be yourself, connect, and make a difference in our team both with our clients and for your future? We would love to get in touch with you!

Shaping your future together with us? | About your application process
1. We would like to receive your CV for this vacancy. A motivation letter is a plus. This gives you the chance to show us your drivers, motivation, and personality. At EY, we support the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, as long as your own tone and unique personality remain visible.
2. Our first contact: after your application, our recruiter will call you for a short introduction. We will briefly explore mutually whether the position would suit you.
3. The first interview: we ask you to complete an online assessment beforehand. Not a standard questionnaire, but a game-based one in which both your cognitive skills and your behavioral preferences are examined. During the interview, we will discuss the results together, and a colleague from the relevant department will also be present. During this mutual introduction, we would love to get to know you, and you will have the opportunity to ask your questions as well.
4. The second interview: if we see a match after the first interview and you are still enthusiastic, a second introduction will follow. In this interview, we will go deeper into the position and other relevant themes, and sometimes a business case is also part of the procedure. It may be that a final interview takes place.
5. We are a match. You will receive an offer from us and we will conduct a pre-employment screening. After that, your new challenge begins. Welcome to EY!
