The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Housekeeping employee to contribute to the success of our hotel; Theaterhotel de Oranjerie (4****) located in the center of Roermond. We are a dynamic organization with guests in house 24/7. Theaterhotel de Oranjerie features over 140 luxury rooms, 12 multifunctional halls, a grand café, an à la carte restaurant, and a large theater. A varied and dynamic workplace where we do our utmost to ensure that both you and our guests go home with a big smile.
What you'll do
As a Facilities Employee, you are responsible for the proper functioning, maintenance, and care of the hotel, the common areas, and the facility amenities. You ensure that guests and employees can rely on a safe, clean, representative, and well-maintained environment.
You independently perform various facility, technical, and support activities and identify malfunctions, defects, and areas for improvement. You work closely with different departments within the hotel and contribute to an optimal guest experience. You are a linchpin between Housekeeping and the Technical service.
Tasks and responsibilities
Performing general cleaning, maintenance, and repair work in and around the hotel.
Identifying, assessing, and where possible, resolving technical malfunctions and defects.
Performing minor technical maintenance on, among other things, lighting, sanitary facilities, doors, furniture, and installations.
Checking common areas, hotel rooms, corridors, meeting rooms, wellness, swimming pool, and outdoor areas for maintenance and defects.
Performing minor painting, carpentry, assembly, and repair work.
Performing facility tasks, such as moving inventory, furniture, and materials.
Managing, checking, and replenishing facility supplies and materials.
Reporting and registering malfunctions and larger technical problems.
Contributing to a safe working environment and compliance with safety, health and safety (Arbo), and house rules.
Performing periodic inspections and preventive maintenance.
Identifying situations that could influence safety, appearance, or guest experience.
Performing other facility tasks that contribute to a smooth flow of the daily hotel operation.
Guest orientation
Although the position is primarily facility-oriented in nature, you have regular contact with hotel guests. You are therefore service-oriented, representative, and helpful. You understand that a well-maintained hotel contributes directly to the satisfaction and experience of the guest.
Responsibility
The Facilities Employee shares responsibility for keeping the hotel and the facility amenities in good condition. You ensure that problems are identified and addressed in a timely manner and that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with as little inconvenience to guests as possible.
Working conditions
The position is varied and practical in nature. You work both indoors and outdoors and deal with various tasks and priorities. Because a hotel is operational seven days a week, flexibility in working hours may be part of the position.
Result of the position
A safe, well-maintained, representative, and optimally functioning hotel, in which malfunctions and maintenance problems are resolved in a timely manner and the guest experiences as little disturbance as possible.
