The role

At Turner & Townsend, we are looking for a commercially driven Director Real Estate to lead and further expand our Real Estate business in the Netherlands.

You will join us during a period of strong development and growth, and will have the opportunity to play a defining role in the further development of our real estate activities.

As Director Real Estate, you hold ultimate responsibility for the commercial, operational and financial performance of the business unit. You will continue to build our position in the Dutch real estate market, strengthen existing client relationships, develop new business opportunities and lead a team of driven professionals.

In this strategic role, you will work closely with colleagues within Real Estate, Data Centers, Infrastructure and Energy & Natural Resources to optimally serve clients and leverage opportunities across sectors.

What you'll do

Your responsibilities include:

Developing and realizing the commercial growth strategy for Real Estate in the Netherlands, focused on revenue growth, market development and a strong positioning of Turner & Townsend.
Expanding existing client relationships, attracting new clients and translating market developments into new opportunities, propositions and collaborations.
Leading tenders, bid processes and commercial proposals and converting opportunities into successful assignments.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, developers, investors and other strategic stakeholders.
Responsible for the commercial, operational and financial performance of the business unit, including revenue, margin and profitability.
Ensuring the successful execution of projects and advisory assignments, with a focus on quality, client satisfaction and commercial results.
Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team, where talent development, coaching and collaboration are central.
Representing Turner & Townsend in the market and promoting our unique proposition.

Qualifications

At least 15 years of relevant work experience within real estate, construction, consultancy or a similar sector.
Experience in program, project, cost management or project controls within the real estate sector.
Has an established position within the Dutch real estate sector, with strong senior-level relationships with clients, developers, investors and other strategic stakeholders.
Strong commercial and strategic insight, focused on growth, impact and results.
Proven leadership in managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
Driven to develop talent and stimulate a culture of collaboration and performance.
Excellent skills in stakeholder management and building sustainable client relationships.
A completed master's degree in a relevant field is preferred, for example within real estate, construction, engineering or business administration.
Excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
