You want to make buildings demonstrably safer - in practice, not just in reports. As a Fire Safety Inspector at Inprevo, you will visit healthcare institutions, schools, residential complexes, and companies. You will look with a critical eye at structural, installation-related, and organizational fire safety, record findings, and translate them into solutions that customers can act upon. You will learn the trade in practice and grow step by step towards an independent advisory role, with the guidance that suits you.
You assess situations based on the Living Environment Decree (Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving) and relevant standards, and develop findings into clear and well-substantiated reports using digital tools. In the beginning, you will shadow experienced advisors and gradually receive more independent assignments. You will work together with 15 colleagues from the Fire Safety team and also coordinate with colleagues focusing on Health & Safety (Arbo/BHV), crisis management, and safety policy.
How you make an impact every day
Identifying deviations and risks on location;
Developing findings into achievable improvement measures and concrete steps, including what has priority and why;
Answering customer questions about rules and standards (in understandable language);
Contributing to internal knowledge sharing and to the improvement of working methods.
You work within the Fire Safety consultancy team and report to the project leader. You have regular consultations with colleagues regarding findings and approaches, but you plan a large part of your week yourself. You work alternatively at customer locations, from home, or at one of our offices.
Why this work at Inprevo is so great
You see immediately what your work achieves for the safety of people and buildings. You are given the freedom to organize your own work week and can grow quickly in responsibility. The culture is informal yet professional: we trust each other, help each other, and strive for quality without bureaucracy.
You have MBO or HBO working and thinking level, with a completed education in/or affinity with: structural engineering, safety, or related subjects;
Fire Prevention Expert 1 diploma (or willing to obtain this);
0–3 years of experience in fire safety, application, or facility management;
You work accurately: you see what is correct and what is missing, and you record this carefully;
You are communicatively skilled: you can phrase findings so that everyone understands what needs to happen and why;
Driving license B and willingness to visit locations throughout the Netherlands.
