The role

Do you want to contribute to safe food for humans and animals and work in a modern laboratory? As a Microbiology Analyst at Eurofins in Heerenveen, you will perform microbiological analyses on a wide variety of samples from the food chain. You will work with modern techniques, contribute ideas for improvements, and make a direct contribution to reliable research results. Thanks to your accuracy, our customers can rely on safe products and comply with the highest quality and food safety standards.

What you'll do

As a Microbiology Analyst, you will daily analyze various types of samples, including baby food, animal feed, vegetables, and shellfish. Using modern microbiological techniques, you will investigate whether products comply with the applicable safety and quality standards.

You will process both regular and urgent requests, meaning you will regularly switch between different tasks and priorities. In doing so, you ensure that analyses are carried out carefully and according to applicable procedures and that results are reported reliably.

In addition to laboratory work, you and your colleagues are responsible for maintaining equipment, identifying and resolving malfunctions, and improving work processes. You will work at various workstations within the laboratory and will have the chance to gain broad experience within microbiology.
