The role

The energy transition requires smart, decisive professionals. Within TenneT Offshore, we work daily on the development of the future offshore electricity grid and the associated policy. We play a role in determining how the future energy infrastructure on the North Sea is developed. In doing so, we have a direct influence on the energy transition in the Netherlands. Together with your colleagues, you will work on organizing and structuring activities, so that the Netherlands can also rely on a reliable electricity grid tomorrow. Will you contribute to this as a Management Assistant?

What you'll do

As a Management Assistant, you will work on issues that are decisive for the future design of the offshore energy system, connecting offshore wind farms to the onshore grid, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

As a Management Assistant, you are responsible for optimally supporting and organizing the management and team activities of three managers and their teams within TenneT Offshore Netherlands, in the Portfolio Planning & Standards department: Asset Strategy & Standards, Business Development, and Portfolio Initiation & Planning.

  • You manage complex calendars for MT members and prioritize appointments so that the management team can work effectively and purposefully.
  • You coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding consultations and meetings, ensuring that decision-making is well-prepared and organized in a timely manner.
  • You organize and facilitate consultations and events with our stakeholders, ensuring they run smoothly.
  • You ensure careful reporting and follow-up on actions, so that agreements are adhered to and progress remains secured.
  • You ensure careful file management by managing and maintaining accurate administration and documentation in accordance with organizational policy and procedures.
  • You support administrative and project-based activities by managing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, coordinating resources, and supporting teams within the department.
  • You respond to questions by providing the correct information or referring requests to the appropriate stakeholders or departments, and you manage and optimize supporting systems and communication tools (such as SharePoint), so that information remains accessible and up to date.
  • You act as the first point of contact for organizational matters, coordinate the onboarding of new colleagues, and organize your own work and priorities independently. In doing so, you work closely with the broader team of Management Assistants and provide support during absences.

You will be placed in the Offshore Business Development team, a team of 10 colleagues who actively collaborate, help each other, and share knowledge. There is plenty of room to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and come up with better solutions together. Everyone brings their own perspective, and it is precisely that diversity that makes the team stronger. Additionally, you will work closely with the other Management Assistants within TenneT Offshore Netherlands.

The teams you work for collaborate intensively with a wide network of stakeholders, including the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), Rijkswaterstaat, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management; industry organizations such as NedZero and WindEurope and the North Sea Consultation (Noordzeeoverleg); NGOs such as Stichting De Noordzee, and international partnerships. Internally, we also work closely with various TenneT disciplines on technical, policy, financial, planning, and process levels. In this way, you become part of the development of the future offshore energy infrastructure of the Netherlands.
