Do you have experience as a Shovelmachinist or with a similar machine and are you looking for a new challenge? Then we are looking for you!

For this position, we are looking for a colleague who:

Has experience as a shovel machinist, crane operator, or with similar machines;
Is in possession of a valid driving license B;
Places safety at the forefront and works according to the applicable regulations;
Has technical insight and can perform simple maintenance work;
Can work independently, but also functions well within a team;
Is flexible and does not have a nine-to-five mentality;
Is willing to work in shifts or on weekends if necessary;
Is stress-resistant and can switch quickly between different tasks;
Works accurately and takes responsibility for the quality of the work;
Has a proactive and motivated work attitude.

What you'll get

A good salary starting from €22,- per hour depending on your experience.
30 vacation days per year according to the Bouw & Infra CAO.

The role

GBN is an innovative, full-service specialist. We provide peace of mind with complete chain management for the intake of soil and (demolition) waste, as well as the delivery of soil and construction materials throughout the Netherlands. We possess unique expertise in the fields of asbestos and soil remediation, sustainable demolition, and waste management, and we are a producer of secondary soil and construction materials.

In Roosendaal, GBN Grind en Ballast Recycling operates a recycling plant for track ballast and gravel. Here, in a closed loop, old ballast from track work is processed into raw material for concrete structures and infrastructure. The sand and gravel produced by the plant is reused in concrete, asphalt, and during the construction of new tracks.

What you'll do

In this varied role, you are responsible for operating the shovel and supporting the activities around the plant where necessary. You ensure an efficient and safe progression of daily processes and contribute to the optimal operation of the plant. Additionally, together with colleagues, you perform maintenance work and help in identifying and resolving any malfunctions. Because of this, no workday is the same, and you will receive a broad range of tasks with a lot of responsibility.
