Solvinity invests structurally in your development. From day one, you will follow relevant courses and training. After two years of employment, you will receive an additional €1,000 training budget that you can fully customize yourself. Think of an Azure certification such as the AZ-104 or AZ-400, the Palo Alto PCNSE, or another track that suits you. Annually, you will draw up a personal training plan together with your manager.
You are an experienced cloud engineer with an analytical mindset and a security-first mindset. You don't just build—you also think about why you are setting something up in a certain way and what the risks are. You work independently, but communicate easily with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. You are accurate, skilled in documentation, and know how to write down complex technical issues clearly.
At Solvinity, you will work on Azure environments for organizations that cannot afford mistakes. Think of the Ministry of Justice and Security and leading financial service providers. But this role goes beyond engineering alone. You will also participate in the Ministry's Cloud Center of Excellence, where you will help shape the cloud strategy of one of the largest government organizations in the Netherlands. Deep technical work, combined with real strategic impact.
You design, build, and manage secure Azure environments for clients with strict security and compliance requirements. You work with Terraform, Palo Alto firewalls (VM-Series), and Azure Policies. You automate deployments via CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitLab. Changes are rolled out automatically and error-free. You manage the version and lifecycle management of cloud resources and ensure that everything is documented and traceable.
You prepare accreditation documentation, perform risk analyses and security assessments, and ensure that cloud services demonstrably comply with standards such as BIO2 and NIS2. In this, you are a reliable partner for security and risk stakeholders.
· Designing and managing Azure network architectures (VNet, NSG, UDR, BGP, VPN, ExpressRoute)
· Configuring Palo Alto firewalls (VM-Series) and implementing zero-trust network segmentation
· Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
· Drafting and implementing Azure Policies and policy initiatives for governance and compliance
· Preparing accreditation documentation, risk analyses, and security assessments
You work in a small, close-knit cloud team with short lines of communication. There are two to three standups per week. No heavy meeting culture, but close collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of Bicep or ARM is a plus. A relevant Azure certification (AZ-104, AZ-400) or Palo Alto PCNSE is a plus, but demonstrable practical experience carries at least as much weight. You have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, at a minimum HBO level.
