The role

SGS is the global market leader in inspection, testing, analysis, and certification. That might sound big (and it is 😉), but in practice, it mainly means we are busy with one thing every day: ensuring quality is correct.

Within SGS Netherlands, we have the Natural Resources (Minerals) business line. Here, we deal with the analysis and testing of raw materials such as ores, metals, and industrial minerals – think of copper and silver, for example.

What makes this extra interesting? Within Minerals, we have 6 different laboratories, each with its own specialty. Each lab focuses on different techniques and analyses, meaning you truly work in an environment with a lot of knowledge and variety. Together we form one team, but with a lot of different expertise under one roof.

What you'll do

Your work brings international minerals to life in our lab

Every day, you receive unique samples from all corners of the world. You ensure that each sample is carefully registered and ready for analysis.

You are the key link that ensures every sample—powder, stone, or chunk —enters the lab perfectly.

What will you do?

  • Receiving and scanning incoming samples.
  • Processing and registering all data in the system.
  • Preparing samples for analysis according to fixed protocols.
  • Performing administrative tasks with accuracy.
  • Lifting bags of 10–15 kilos when samples arrive in raw form.

What do you bring?

  • No diploma required; your precision and motivation count more.
  • Experience in warehouse work or goods receiving is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • You are proficient with computers and work accurately.
  • You are collaborative, reliable, and contribute to a pleasant working atmosphere.
  • You preferably live in (the area of) Spijkenisse.
  • You enjoy working in a 2-shift system (07:00–15:00 and 14:00–22:30).
