The role
What does this role look like?
Do you work as a Technical Manager at a contractor or industrial organization and want to broaden your role towards asset management?
At Rivoir, you don't just work on the execution of projects, but on the performance of infrastructure assets over the entire lifecycle from the perspective of the asset owner.
As a Technical Manager at Rivoir, you are responsible for the technical functioning and performance of infrastructure assets such as tunnels, highways, and energy infrastructure.
Where in a traditional role you often work on a single project, here you work on multiple assets simultaneously. You focus on ensuring and improving the reliability, availability, and maintainability of assets within long-term contracts.
You operate within the SPC and work closely with asset managers, contractors, and maintenance parties. In doing so, you ensure that maintenance and technical choices align with the performance requirements and lifecycle objectives of the asset.
You play an important role in analyzing performance, improving maintenance strategies, and identifying risks. You translate technical issues into concrete improvement measures and ensure that these are implemented.
In this role, you look beyond just execution: you think along about how assets can function smarter, more efficiently, and more sustainably within their lifecycle. In doing so, you lay the foundation for further development towards asset management.
This is what you will do
Monitoring the technical performance, reliability, and availability of assets
Analyzing failures, performance, and maintenance data and translating them into improvement measures
Assessing and optimizing maintenance plans and maintenance strategies
Identifying and mitigating technical risks
Technically assessing proposals from maintenance parties
Supporting the preparation, planning, and execution of maintenance
Monitoring maintenance activities and adjusting where necessary
Contributing to lifecycle management and cost optimization
Collaborating with asset managers and other stakeholders to improve performance
Do you recognize yourself?
You have experience in infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects and are accustomed to working with technical assets in the management or maintenance phase
You are able to independently analyze technical issues and translate them into concrete improvement measures
You have experience with maintenance strategies, performance management, and/or lifecycle thinking
You understand how technical choices impact performance, risks, and costs and know how to make balanced choices in this regard
You work in a structured manner and maintain an overview, even when multiple stakeholders and interests converge
You take initiative, work independently, and know how to actually implement improvements
You have completed a HBO or WO higher education degree (preferably civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering)
Experience with DBFM(O), PPP, or similar contract forms is a plus
You have several years of relevant work experience (indicative circa 5-10 years), fitting a role in which you operate independently and bear substantive responsibility
"Here you will get the space to develop from an expert into someone who actually provides direction to asset management and makes an impact on the long-term performance of assets."
