Account Manager

• HBO or WO level of work and thinking.

• Experience in account management, customer management, supply chain, or contract management within a logistics environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels within an organization.

• Experience with stakeholder management within complex and international environments.

• Good financial and commercial insight.

• Knowledge of logistics processes and experience with WMS, ERP, and MS Office systems.

• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.

• Affinity with Healthcare, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences is a strong plus.

What You Can Expect:

As an Account Manager, you are the linchpin between our organization and one of our largest customers within the medical sector. You will work within an existing partnership and continue to build a sustainable collaboration centered on quality, reliability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

You understand the customer's strategic objectives and translate these into concrete initiatives, improvement trajectories, and growth opportunities within Rhenus. At the same time, you are closely involved in daily practice. You have both feet on the ground in operations, understand the impact of changes, and guide the organization in successfully realizing them.

You work within a multidisciplinary customer team in which Account Management, Customer Service, and Operations work closely together. Where necessary, this team is supplemented with colleagues from Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and other supporting disciplines.

• Acting as a strategic sparring partner for the customer and the management of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions.

• Expanding the Partner Program by translating the customer's strategic objectives into joint improvement and growth plans.

• Creating support within the organization and inspiring colleagues regarding changes and improvement initiatives.

• Identifying, developing, and realizing commercial opportunities within existing services.

• Monitoring contractual agreements, service levels, and KPIs and ensuring structural follow-up of these.

• Initiating and guiding impactful operational changes and change requests.

• Responsible for the administrative creation, validation, and implementation of changes within the service provision.

• Approving and checking invoicing to the customer.

• Monitoring financial results and contributing to healthy and sustainable customer growth.

• Coordinating escalations and complex customer issues.

• Taking the lead in governance meetings, performance reviews, and strategic (quarterly) business reviews.

• Connecting stakeholders at all levels; from employees on the shop floor to decision-makers within the customer's management and board.

• Ensuring an excellent customer experience together with Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.

In short: a versatile role in which strategy, commerce, operations, and stakeholder management converge.

This position is not suitable for someone who only wants to advise strategically from the sidelines. You are responsible for realizing improvements, and that means you regularly switch between strategic discussions and operational issues.
