The role

On our site in Den Dolder, there are 2 factories: a Margarine factory and a Sauce factory. In our Sauce factory, you will find 22 packaging lines and 17 process lines. With a technical service of 25 mechanics, we ensure that production runs flawlessly every day. So, you can imagine that as a mechanic, you will truly encounter all kinds of technologies here.

What you'll do

As a Maintenance Mechanic in our sauce factory, you will work 70% mechanically and 30% electrically. On a daily basis, you will encounter approximately 10 breakdowns that you must solve either together or independently. Your work is very varied due to the large variety of machines and faults. This could be replacing a valve or taking a part of a machine apart to complete the fault clearance or repair; also, seals must regularly be replaced on 1 of the 400 pumps (such as a lobe pump or a centrifugal pump). In addition to breakdowns, you will completely reconfigure 1 to 2 packaging lines every week. You do this with the help of the operators and your fellow mechanics. We work with a great many different types of packaging because we produce approximately 400 different sauces.

In addition to daily activities, you will perform planned maintenance on machines and installations. You will be ultimately responsible for 1 line where, in a small team, you will personally tackle critical points to make the line produce more efficiently. Do you love variety? Requirements

Who are you?

You already have work experience as a mechanic in a production environment or similar;
Preferably, you hold an MBO 4 qualification in a technical field (mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering);
You would like to further expand your technical knowledge and develop yourself;
And you are willing to work in 3 shifts.
