Compliance officer at financial enterprises
We are looking for professionals with knowledge of the activities of various financial enterprises, such as alternative investment fund managers (AIFMD/UCITS) and investment firms (MiFIDII), who can take on the role of compliance officer at these enterprises. The Legal Risk & Compliance practice helps financial institutions with various issues and recovery processes in the areas of risk management, compliance, changes in laws and regulations, combating financial economic crime, privacy, etc. Additionally, we help our clients with applying for licenses from regulators AFM and DNB, and support them in maintaining contact with these regulators. We also fulfill roles as (external) risk manager, compliance officer, and (external) legal counsel at various financial institutions.

• As an external compliance officer, you help investment firms, investment institutions, and/or pension funds to remain compliant. These can be existing parties as well as new entrants (national and international).
• You work both individually and in a small team of talented colleagues. You exchange knowledge with one another and support each other where necessary.
• You are active at various types of financial enterprises and, as a result, gain (even more) knowledge of activities, processes, products, and the associated (new) legislation.
• You monitor and advise financial enterprises and ensure that their entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with sound business operations that are compliant with laws and regulations and the supervisory practices of regulators AFM and DNB.
• You help clients during contact moments with regulators (AFM/DNB investigations, information requests, etc.).
• Together with colleagues, you help clients prepare for changes in legislation and draft 'best practices' to assist them in this.
• You contribute to our internal product development aimed at simplifying the compliance and risk cycle. Where possible, through the development and/or deployment of digital tools.

Are you a (Medior) Compliance Officer with the right background and ambition to grow?

• A completed HBO or WO degree in law, public administration, or business administration.
• A completed Compliance education or you are willing to follow one
• 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience and knowledge of (AIFMD, MiFID II, UCITS and/or Wft)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Result-oriented, proactive, flexible, eager to learn, and sensitive.
• The ability to identify opportunities and develop a good network.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
