The role
Category Management & eCommerce Internship - Nestlé Purina PetCare
Are you interested in the FMCG sector/Category Management and do you want to expand and apply your knowledge and experience in practice? Then we are looking for you! At our headquarters in Amstelveen, we have a position for a Category Management intern in the Nestlé Purina PetCare department starting February 1, 2027.
At Purina, we believe that pets and people complement each other. Our passion for nutrition, animals, and their owners drives us every day to do our best. We are a close-knit team that works together, has fun, and supports one another. We need you to make us even stronger.
What you'll do
As a Category Management & eCommerce intern, you will participate in the commercial heart of Purina. You will become the connecting link between Marketing, Sales, and our Retail partners.
We offer you the chance to develop yourself as a commercial talent. You will work for various sales channels within Nestlé Purina and get a look behind the scenes of Category Management and Shopper Activation Management work. Additionally, we will challenge you to run your own projects and gain as much experience as possible. As a Category Management & E-commerce intern, you will be mentored by one of our Senior Category Managers.
Do you love numbers? Then a beautiful amount of data is waiting for you, but in addition, there is plenty of room for your fresh perspective and your creative ideas! Additionally, you will participate in the Purina E-business team, where you will learn about digital trends and help strengthen our online visibility.
What will you do?
You will work on:
- Assortment advice and shelf layout for our retailers.
- Shopper activations - both in-store and online.
- Data analysis and market insights.
- E-business projects - from e-content to test & learns with Bol., Picnic, and Amazon.
What you bring
You work carefully and pay attention to details when performing daily tasks. Additionally, you are able to distinguish between main and secondary matters and quickly master new knowledge. You know how to enthuse and motivate people by showing your energy and commitment. As soon as you see opportunities, you like to take initiative to act immediately.
Additionally, we are looking for someone with:
- A University (WO) or Higher Professional Education (HBO) degree.
- A good command of the Dutch and English languages.
- Affinity with marketing and commerce.
- Interest in developing yourself within the eCommerce landscape.
What do we offer you?
- The vacancy offers more than just a challenge:
- A full-time internship (40 hours per week) for 6 months;
- 10 vacation days based on 5 months;
- An internship allowance of €800 per month based on full-time;
- Travel allowance;
- Good food, good life: daily free fruit and healthy meals;
- A work laptop;
- Nestlé Internship Training Plan focused on your development;
- A pleasant, informal working environment with friendly colleagues and social activities;
- A close-knit intern community with fun activities.
In addition to hard work and much learning, the social side of an internship should of course not be missing. We have an open and informal atmosphere; there is always room for a coffee break and there are regular Purina drinks or other team events. Additionally, you will receive a 'buddy' from us: an experienced colleague with whom you can share all your experiences and questions.
Lastly, respect is central to the culture of Nestlé; an important part of that is room for differences. Differences in the people who buy our products and in those on our shop floor. We find it important that everyone feels welcome and at home at Nestlé. So, have you become just as enthusiastic as we are? Then apply now!
