• A salary of €2,818 to €3,948 gross per month in scale 56 (based on 36 hours). Do you have a different technical MBO education than service and maintenance technician (SOT)? Then you will start in scale 55, with a salary of €2,767 to €3,676. Through internal training, you can grow into scale 56.

The journey of tomorrow begins with you, because you ensure that our trains continue to run safely and reliably. You will be on the road a lot and primarily work outdoors, at various workplaces. In this role, you combine independent work with collaborating in an enthusiastic team. You will use your technical knowledge to quickly detect and resolve faults, so that the trains can get back on the rails quickly.

Your base location is Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer, one of the locations where we perform maintenance and service on our trains. Extra fun: you will also regularly work at one of our other locations in the region: Amsterdam Westhaven, Lelystad Opstel, or Amsterdam Zaanstad. Even more variety, then!

With a team of driven technicians, you will work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. At the same time, everyone works together with motivation to get the trains back on their way properly and on time. At Watergraafsmeer, we like to take our breaks together. Even when you are on the road, you can always stay in contact with colleagues.

You will work in an irregular schedule with early, late, night, and weekend shifts. The working hours are:

• Early: 06:45 to 15:15
• Late: 14:45 to 23:15
• Night: 22:45 to 07:15

Good to know: sometimes you will be scheduled as a reserve. Or you may deviate from your fixed schedule in consultation. From January 2027, we expect to start working with a five-shift system. As soon as more is known about that schedule, you will hear more.
