The role

Our versatile factory in Veghel is the largest chocolate bar factory in the world. Here, large volumes of confectionery such as Mars®, Snickers®, and Twix® are produced daily, destined for the global market. The machines, devices, and systems are highly diverse: from various types of process machines to transport systems and pumps, but also packaging machines, wrapping machines, and precision mechanics. To maintain our leading position in confectionery production, our machinery deserves the best maintenance to prevent malfunctions and stagnation. In this role, you are responsible for preparing E&I maintenance activities, including preventive plans and their optimization.

What tasks can you expect?

As part of a Maintenance department of approximately 75 employees, you will work together in a team of 5 enthusiastic maintenance planners and driven planners, and you will be responsible for preparing E&I maintenance activities for both preventive and corrective maintenance. Additionally, you are also responsible for the coordination of ongoing repairs and obsoletes for timely availability and/or follow-up.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibilities

  • You are the gatekeeper of all incoming requests and assess them for quality and priority, with a focus on people and food safety.
  • You independently prepare preventive and corrective maintenance in the E&I field via SAP and supporting systems. In doing so, you draw up detailed maintenance plans yourself based on input from technicians, supplier advice, and reliability improvement engineers.
  • You manage technical changes, documentation, and drawing updates, and ensure that these are corrected where necessary.
  • You process all preventive E&I plans in SAP and, as a senior, foresee problems in execution and ensure that plans are optimally set up so that execution can be carried out flawlessly according to compliance. This also applies to multidisciplinary plans, for which an overview across multiple disciplines is necessary.
  • You have contact with external companies to ensure maintenance is scheduled and executed according to agreements.
  • You are responsible for aligning our contracts with suppliers and discuss terms, prices, and scope changes.
  • You communicate with the planner to ensure activities are scheduled and executed as optimally as possible and provide structure to the work processes.
  • As a senior, you safeguard the documentation regarding validations, calibrations, and certificates required to work and produce in a safe manner.
  • You coordinate repairs and the follow-up of returned materials.

Who are you

  • MBO4 or HBO education in Electrical Engineering or similar. Candidates with a background in Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Automation, Industrial Automation, or Technical Specialist are also welcome.
  • Multiple years of experience in a similar role within a technical department.
  • Possession of a precise working attitude with a great sense of responsibility regarding people and food safety.
  • Experience with programs such as SAP PM and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Proactive, flexible, and eager to learn to ensure matters run as efficiently as possible.
  • Social, communicative, and a true team player, who also dares to make decisions independently.
  • You get energy from switching quickly between various systems and know how to effortlessly maintain an overview and the correct priorities.
